So Touro Law has a Career Center, and it's both for externships and internships. And everybody that works in the office is very accommodating. And no matter what you're looking to do or where you want to go, they'll do their best to place you there or give you something that's very similar. I personally work both at the US Attorney's Office and their criminal and civil divisions and also externally with Honorable Judge Wicks right across the street at the federal courthouse. And both opportunities were amazing. I met so many people, so many attorneys, so many judges. And through those opportunities, I was able to get my pro bono placement at federal defenders, which I don't think without the Career Center, or the people I met with been able to do that.
After my first year at Touro, I completed an externship at Roc Nation, which is a sports and entertainment agency in New York City. And it really opened my eyes to the world of sports law and how it's really an intersection of a ton of different practice areas. And then I also completed another externship in the spring of my second year, and that was at the US Attorney's Office, which is right here in Central Islip. Over at the federal courthouse, I worked in their criminal division, and that was a great hands on experience being in court, drafting motions, editing, paperwork and documents. And the best part about that is it's right next to school and it's just a really great opportunity that Touro offers.
